Dr. Dorogi is a recognized leader in technical due diligence for project finance, energy production modeling and PV technology. His experience spans over 90 utility-scale and distributed generation PV projects totaling over 3 GW in capacity, as well as multiple commercial and industrial (C&I) portfolios with 500+ individual PV installations totaling more than 350 MW in capacity. He has also reviewed multiple residential portfolios, spanning thousands of individual projects. His involvement in technical due diligence encompasses contract review (EPC, O&M, PPA, IA), system design review, PV and storage technology, plant testing, financial modeling and on-going performance reviews. Dr. Dorogi has reviewed PV projects from the feasibility stage through mature operations and has conducted due diligence for most leading banks and tax equity investors. An expert on both thin-film and crystalline silicon PV technology, Dr. Dorogi is a trusted expert with regards to technology and PV power plant performance within the PV and finance communities.

Dr. Dorogi has lead the technology reviews (bankability) for modules, inverters and single-axis trackers and has covered technologies as diverse as battery storage, fuel cells, lithium-based electrochromic windows and proton therapy medical device tools. In conjunction with reviewing specific products and technologies, he has evaluated the associated business plans, risks and risk mitigation strategies with respect to company acquisitions, equity investments and manufacturing scale-up. Dr. Dorogi has conducted detailed due diligence on both project developers and large PV portfolios in support of both equity investments and company acquisitions.
